Healthcare in Qatar is
approaching new horizons. Plans for a new ultra modern medical city which is
being supervised by the Ministry of Public Health and Hammed Medical
Corporation will be commissioned in the near future.
Regarding the private sector,
new private hospitals are either under construction, or under planning such
as the Swiss Hospital. In recent years, many private hospitals and
polyclinics have opened up in various parts of the country, and The US
Cornell University has also opened a Medicine College in Doha.
